Shui Xian Yan Cha(水仙岩茶) is a type of Wuyi Yan Cha(Rock Tea) belonging to the Oolong Tea category. There’s another name in Chinese transliteration, “Shui Hsien”.
This tea is smooth to drink and delightfully flavorful. It carries a thousand years of history, although it was only officially categorized as Oolong tea 300 years ago. Originating from the Wuyi Mountain area of Fujian Province, it has a beautiful environment and rich natural resources, which makes the rock tea it produces famous. The production of rock tea in Wuyi Mountain is similar to that of cinnamon tea, and both are very popular among tea drinkers.
Shui Xian Yan Cha(Rock tea) is praised for its refreshing aroma, mild taste, and floral, tea-like characteristics. It comes with a unique sweetness and long aftertaste. If steeped for a longer period, you can experience a more concentrated tea broth that is oily and full-bodied in texture, but not astringent. This delicious tea releases its richness of flavor even after multiple brews.
The flavor and aroma of our daffodils are perfectly combined. We recommend using a Gaiwan or Yixing Zisha Teapot as a brewing tool.
