Shi Hong Clay
Shi Hong clay is a distinctive material recognized for its high iron content and water-softening properties. Found in thin layers within Yixing clay mines, it is rare and challenging to extract. When crafted into teapots, Shi Hong clay reduces bitterness and astringency while enhancing the tea’s aroma, leading to a smoother, more fragrant brewing experience.
Qiu Shui Pot
The Qiu Shui pot, from the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty, takes its name from the engraved character “秋水”. Its elegant lines evoke a refined lady, while the olive shape stands tall and poised. The snug lid operates smoothly, enhancing both function and beauty. Crafted in smaller sizes, it shines when made from lustrous red clay, reminiscent of summer blooms or clear autumn waters, leaving a lasting impression of grace.
